My responsibilities

Redesigning the Swedish Migration Agencies website from scratch. The main goal of the project is to minimise the number of calls to the call centre, after visiting the website We started with getting to know the users – who they are and what they need by interviewing and listening in on customer service phone calls/emails. From the result we created user profiles that have helped us in understanding the user goals and needs. This, together with statistics guided us in what solutions we needed to create. Designing for end users who are spread all over the world. We designed several prototypes that have been tested on real users. The end result is now being implemented. My responsibilities at the moment is to ensure that the UX/UI design is being implemented according to the UX/UI requirements.

Another responsibility has been to modernise the Swedish Migration Agency’s e-services to apply for a permit to come and stay, live or work in Sweden, with the goal to minimise paper applications and increasing the number of complete applications. Working with a mobile first approach. Taking part in the creation of a new tool for building end-to-end e-services. Also working with employers and the My page solution for them.

Setting up design principles feeding into the design system, researching and optimizing through UX design, working closely with front-end developers in the project.

Building a new e-service for people leaving Ukraine and coming to Sweden under EU’s temporary protection drive. Writing copy and working closely with developers as well as the communications department, to deliver the e-service within very tight time-frames, in order to first, aiding this user group that was in great need of an e-service, and to minimize the number of questions that have to be responded to at our physical offices.

Delivering interaction design within in a multidisciplinary, agile team where the work is hypothesis driven. Focus has been on improving the internal handling systems as well e-services for applying for a work permit.
